Never will I leave you,
This promise I have made.
When your day has lost its light,
You need not be afraid.
When you feel so lonely,
Know I will be right there.
When you call my name, I'll hear
And answer ev'ry prayer.
You'll never be alone,
For I will be with you.
Wher'er you go, always know
My strength will see you through.
Hold fast to my promise,
Obey my ev'ry word.
Then you will succeed and know
My presence is assured.
I will not forsake you;
Take courage and be strong.
When you're lost, I'll be your way
When your journey's long.
Forever I will be
With you eternally.
Trust me; never be afraid,
For I your strength will be.

FRUITFUL IN THE LAND OF SUFFERING
Very slowly she packed her bags for God had let her know
She was moving to a distant land where many dared not go.
Their ending destination was the Land of Suffering,
Not a journey she had hoped for in the dawn of early spring.
Starting through the wilderness, she held tightly to His hand
As He led her past the dangers through a very dismal land.
God then guided through the valley that bore the name "Despair."
Yet, as they passed, she noticed that a sweet fragrance filled the air.
Endless fields with fragrant blossoms, as far as eye could see,
Covered the Land of Suffering, and she said, "How can this be?"
God said, "So often rain will fall upon each stately tree
Producing scented blossoms where sweet fruit will one day be."
"I brought you here so you would know, through suff'ring, fruit you'll bear,
And the fragrance of your presence will bless people everywhere.
And while suffering is not easy, there's a purpose here, you see.
It's preparing you to bear much fruit that'll last eternally."
She cried, "May I be a fragrant tree bearing fruit for You.
I'll accept my suffering with grace, if that's what I must do."
She remained in the garden in the Land of Suffering
Yielding blossoms of rare beauty and became a true blessing."

KEEP PRESSING ON
The children of God marched through hot desert sand,
Opposed by their enemies on every hand,
But they kept on marching as God's holy band
Until finally they occupied their promised land.
Noah built an ark far from sea on dry sod.
He listened and he obeyed the word of God.
Noah's neighbors laughed as he built his large boat,
But when the rains poured down, Noah went afloat.
When Daniel was told he no longer could pray,
He remained obedient to God every day.
They threw him down deep into the lion's den,
But God shut the lion's mouth as he prayed again.
Jesus remainded faithful even to the cross,
He suffered and He gave His life to save the lost.
They crucified and buried the Son of Man,
But then three days later He arose again.
So press on when the night is long.
Press on! Keep on singing your song.
When you're feeling discouraged and your strength is gone,
Fix your eyes on Jesus and keep pressing on.

LOVE IS THE KEY
Love's the key that unlocks the door
To welcome Jesus in
To free lost souls who're without hope
And imprisoned by their sin.
Just a simple act of kindness
To someone with a need
Will cultivate a hardened heart
To sow a spiritual seed.
If we're to see lost souls set free,
Our lives must Christ convey,
So they can see God's light in us
And will follow in His Way.
Ev'ry random act of kindness
Lights a path to their heart's door,
And walls they've built to keep one out
Fall crashing to the floor.
We must love them like the Father
If we want to hear them say,
"I have come to know the Savior
As He lived through you each day."

DAUGHTERS OF A KING
Our Father is Almighty God;
We are daughters of a king.
We're clothed in robes of righteousness;
And we're veiled in His blessing.
The Father calls us His "princess,"
And we are His great delight.
A privileged heritage we share;
We are precious in his sight.
He crowns us with loving kindness,
Adorns us with jewels of grace,
And His mercy e'er surrounds us,
As His arms of love embrace.
We're daughters of the King of Kings,
And that makes us royalty.
He's placed us in His kingdom
There to reign in majesty.

A Prayer of Thanksgiving
They gathered around the table
To celebrate Thanksgiving Day.
While joining their hands together,
They then bowed their heads to pray.
Her father asked each one to share
Some way God had blessed them that year,
And one by one they offered thanks
For their fam'ily and friends so dear.
Our prayers then started with Grandpa
Who said, "God, I am thankful for
Another year with loved ones dear,
And I'm thankful for one year more."
Then Grandma said, "Ive been so blessed;
You've provided my ev'ry need;
For each one around this table,
I am so grateful, Lord, indeed."
My uncle shared his gratitude
That God answered a special prayer
And saved his soul when someone told
How all of his sins Christ did bear.
My aunt thanked God for His healing,
Restoring her body to health,
God's gift was something more priceless,
More than gold or all the earth's wealth.
Mom said, "Dear God, I'm so grateful
For all that you daily provide.
You're there each step of our journey;
O'er mountains and valleys You guide."
Dad thanked God for the empty chair,
For my brother who chose to go
Serve our country and give his life
For the freedoms that we all know.
When I was left to close this prayer,
I brushed tears away from my cheek,
For I o'erflowed with gratitude
And I found it so hard to speak.
"Oh, thank you, God, I am so blessed,
And my heart does so overflow
With mercy and with grace from you
And for Your love I've come to know."

OUR SPECIAL ANGEL (Baby Girl Dedication Poem)
Our special angel
Sent from above;
Sweet gentle spirit
Heart full of love.
Of all God's blessings,
You are so rare,
A treasure from Heav'n,
An answer to prayer.
Our hearts overflow
From joy you bring;
Your smile brings laughter,
Makes our hearts sing.
You are so special,
One of a kind;
Only in Heaven
Could we e'er find
Someone to love us
The way you do.
We are so thankful
God sent us you.
