Love's the key that unlocks the door
To welcome Jesus in
To free lost souls who're without hope
And imprisoned by their sin.
Just a simple act of kindness
To someone with a need
Will cultivate a hardened heart
To sow a spiritual seed.
If we're to see lost souls set free,
Our lives must Christ convey,
So they can see God's light in us
And will follow in His Way.
Ev'ry random act of kindness
Lights a path to their heart's door,
And walls they've built to keep one out
Fall crashing to the floor.
We must love them like the Father
If we want to hear them say,
"I have come to know the Savior
As He lived through you each day."

- I was born in the naval port of Norfolk, Virginia, the daughter of a US Navy Master Chief. With the exception of 1 year living in Boston, Mass.,and two years in Hanau, Germany, I have lived in the historic state of Virginia all my life. I now reside in the beautiful Roanoke Valley. Though raised in a Christian home, I was in my early 20’s before making a commitment of my life to Christ. Since then I have spent many years in full-time ministry. I am currently employed as an accountant with a Christian child care center in Roanoke and also serve as the Office Manager and Scheduling Coordinator for singer and songwriter Mary Rice Hopkins who resides in California.
