Heaven's Party for the King - Christmas Poem

All the Holy Host of Heaven
Gathered around the throne.
For they heard the trumpet sounding
As Gabriel's horn was blown.
The angel choir was singing,
"Good news to you we bring.
Today the Son of God was born
On earth as King of Kings."

"Hallelujah, hallelujah,"
You could hear the angels sing.
"Joy to the world, eternal life
Forevermore He brings.
Peace on the earth, goodwill to men,"
All the angels did proclaim.
They sang their praises to the Lord
And blessed His holy name.

'Twas a time of celebration
Heaven's party for the King.
You could hear shouts of rejocing
That made Heaven's rafters ring.
For Jesus Christ, the Son of God,
Was born of virgin birth.
The everlasting King of Kings
Had come to live on earth.

All the halls of Heaven echoed
And were filled with joyful sound.
What a time of jubliation
In all heaven could be found,
For the long-awaited Christ child
Would redeem the soul of man.
The lamb of God in a manger low
Fulfilled God's promised plan.
