DANCING THROUGH LIFE'S MUD PUDDLES

She walked along the old dirt road,
Her weary head bent low;
Despair and sorrow weighed her down;
Her halting steps were slow.

Life delivered its cruel blows
Her spirit to destroy;
Heartache and disappointment came
That robbed her of her joy.

Rain left its muddy puddles there
Along the road she trod;
But as the sun began to rise,
She caught a glimpse God.

Reflecting on the mud puddles
In midst of her despair,
The Glor'ous Son made visible
In moments they would share.

There she witnessed heaven's glory
For God had clearly shown
That life's darkened muddy puddles
Would bring blessings unknown.

Her head uplifted heavenward,
More jubilant her feet,
As she danced through muddy puddles
That lined the rain-drenched street.

Then a song of joyful praises
Resounded through the air,
Rejoicing that life's mud puddles
Reflected God's love there.
