Said the raven to the lily,
"Does man know about God's love?
He worries over little things
Father always takes care of."
"What will we eat? What will we wear?
We will never worry o'er.
Does man know our Father above
Gives him these and so much more?"
"Does man see how God cares for us?
We're a flower and a bird.
Perhaps he knows not of God's care.
Or maybe he's never heard."
"If God provides our ev'ry need,
And we never reap or spin;
You know He will provide for them
Over and over again."
"Let's pray that man will look at us
And reflect upon God's Word,
Where Christ said, 'Observe the lily
And learn from a little bird.'"

- I was born in the naval port of Norfolk, Virginia, the daughter of a US Navy Master Chief. With the exception of 1 year living in Boston, Mass.,and two years in Hanau, Germany, I have lived in the historic state of Virginia all my life. I now reside in the beautiful Roanoke Valley. Though raised in a Christian home, I was in my early 20’s before making a commitment of my life to Christ. Since then I have spent many years in full-time ministry. I am currently employed as an accountant with a Christian child care center in Roanoke and also serve as the Office Manager and Scheduling Coordinator for singer and songwriter Mary Rice Hopkins who resides in California.
