A portrait of love God painted
So everyone would see.
Unveiled in unmatched clarity,
What love should truly be.
With each stroke upon His canvas,
Brushed with amazing grace,
God's masterpiece revealed glory
Etched clearly in Christ's face.
Dark tints of grueling sacrifice,
Contrasted with pure light,
Disclosed love's stoke of God's mercy
Like stars revealed at night.
Framed with forgiveness freely giv'n,
Carved from a rugged tree,
Produced a portrait of God's Son,
His love for all to see.

- I was born in the naval port of Norfolk, Virginia, the daughter of a US Navy Master Chief. With the exception of 1 year living in Boston, Mass.,and two years in Hanau, Germany, I have lived in the historic state of Virginia all my life. I now reside in the beautiful Roanoke Valley. Though raised in a Christian home, I was in my early 20’s before making a commitment of my life to Christ. Since then I have spent many years in full-time ministry. I am currently employed as an accountant with a Christian child care center in Roanoke and also serve as the Office Manager and Scheduling Coordinator for singer and songwriter Mary Rice Hopkins who resides in California.
