Discard all your worldly garments;
Redress and put on the new.
Adorn with jewels of holiness
That reflect God's grace in you.
Wear the shoes of true compassion;
Walk beside a hurting soul.
Hold with hands gloved in gentleness;
Bring one comfort and console.
Wear the pants of patience, praying,
Tailor fit for bended knees.
Don the dur'ble shirt of kindness,
Working hard to always please.
Put on God's overcoat of love;
Coord'nate with stylist flair.
Remember that the world will see,
Judging you by what you wear.
"Clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
And over all these virtues, put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity" (Col. 3:12,14).
