The door to happiness stood locked
That led to Joyful Land.
I knocked, but no one opened it.
God said, "What's in your hand?"
"For many keys you do possess
And one of them will fit.
The keys," God said, "are choices made.
And one key will admit."
"The key that will unlock the door
To peace and perfect rest
Is fashioned by right choices made
And is the life that's blest."
"No one can e'er open the door
To happiness for you.
The key lies only in your hand
And what you choose to do."
"Right choices made based on My Word
Now will unlock the door
That leads to joy and happiness
And peace forevermore."

- I was born in the naval port of Norfolk, Virginia, the daughter of a US Navy Master Chief. With the exception of 1 year living in Boston, Mass.,and two years in Hanau, Germany, I have lived in the historic state of Virginia all my life. I now reside in the beautiful Roanoke Valley. Though raised in a Christian home, I was in my early 20’s before making a commitment of my life to Christ. Since then I have spent many years in full-time ministry. I am currently employed as an accountant with a Christian child care center in Roanoke and also serve as the Office Manager and Scheduling Coordinator for singer and songwriter Mary Rice Hopkins who resides in California.
