One star can stand out in the night;
One candle erase the dark.
One word can cheer a saddened soul;
Fire blaze from one small spark.
One child can split our time in two;
One cross remove death's sting.
One touch can make a lame man walk
And cause deaf tongues to sing.
One tiny seed can multiply
Ten-fold in the fertile sod.
One soul can save a multitude
When used in the hands of God.
One life can make a difference
When Christ in us will dwell,
For one can lead another soul
And redeem this one from hell.
One faith, one hope, one joy possessed
By one willing to give,
Can make an eternal difference
Through the one life that we live.

- I was born in the naval port of Norfolk, Virginia, the daughter of a US Navy Master Chief. With the exception of 1 year living in Boston, Mass.,and two years in Hanau, Germany, I have lived in the historic state of Virginia all my life. I now reside in the beautiful Roanoke Valley. Though raised in a Christian home, I was in my early 20’s before making a commitment of my life to Christ. Since then I have spent many years in full-time ministry. I am currently employed as an accountant with a Christian child care center in Roanoke and also serve as the Office Manager and Scheduling Coordinator for singer and songwriter Mary Rice Hopkins who resides in California.
