Christ was born to Mary and Emmanuel was His name;
Holy angels announced His birth to shepherds when He came.
Rejoicing, the shepherds, filled with awe, quickly made their
way;
In haste they traveled 'til they found Christ on a bed of hay.
Seeing the Child of Wonder, they knelt and worshipped Him,
Thanking God He had chosen to reveal His Son to them.
Majesty and wonder filled the lowly manger stall;
Amazing revelation that this Child was born for all.
Surrendered hearts outpouring praise proclaimed the Savior's birth,
Joyfully they shared good news that God had come to earth.
One holy night, one child was born, one hope filled human hearts,
Yahweh, our flesh indwells, and now Christmas joy imparts.

- I was born in the naval port of Norfolk, Virginia, the daughter of a US Navy Master Chief. With the exception of 1 year living in Boston, Mass.,and two years in Hanau, Germany, I have lived in the historic state of Virginia all my life. I now reside in the beautiful Roanoke Valley. Though raised in a Christian home, I was in my early 20’s before making a commitment of my life to Christ. Since then I have spent many years in full-time ministry. I am currently employed as an accountant with a Christian child care center in Roanoke and also serve as the Office Manager and Scheduling Coordinator for singer and songwriter Mary Rice Hopkins who resides in California.
