When Rebekah came to draw water from the well that day,
She did not know she'd meet someone that God had sent her way.
When Joseph arrived in Egypt, a slave he was to be,
He did not know God's designed plan to change his destiny.
When David left his shepherd's field with provisions for his clan,
He did not know that God would have an alternative plan.
When Paul set out with evil thoughts to persecute and kill,
He did not know that God had plans to circumvent his will.
Each one had a higher calling that changed their destiny;
For God had plans to use their lives in ways they could not see.
Rebekah married Isaac from whom a nation grew,
Joseph became a leader and saved his people, too.
David killed a giant and one day became a king;
Paul became Christ's servant and a living offering.
And you have a higher calling; just how will God use you?
He wants to perform miracles if you'll allow him to.
Unordinary outcomes from life's ordinary days.
God's miracles will happen as we trust Him and obey.

- I was born in the naval port of Norfolk, Virginia, the daughter of a US Navy Master Chief. With the exception of 1 year living in Boston, Mass.,and two years in Hanau, Germany, I have lived in the historic state of Virginia all my life. I now reside in the beautiful Roanoke Valley. Though raised in a Christian home, I was in my early 20’s before making a commitment of my life to Christ. Since then I have spent many years in full-time ministry. I am currently employed as an accountant with a Christian child care center in Roanoke and also serve as the Office Manager and Scheduling Coordinator for singer and songwriter Mary Rice Hopkins who resides in California.
