It takes just a drop of kindness
That's drawn from the well of hope,
To encourage and to uplift
And renew one's strength to cope.
For when thirsty souls are hurting,
We can show them that we care,
For with just a drop of kindness
We can quench their deep despair.
For when someone's heart is lonely
And they feel that no one cares,
Just a drop of hope will gladden
As we lift them up in prayer.
Like the dew in early morning
Bathes the dry and thirsty sod,
Gentle drops of loving kindness
Renew hope when blessed by God.
As our drops of hope are showered,
We will look around and see
Lovely flow'rs of joy and gladness,
Yielding blooms of rare beauty.
