Twenty-four hours are given each day,
Apportioned to us fairly.
And just how we choose to spend each hour
Is thought of much too rarely.
Is there too much time spent on ourselves
With no thought of another?
Just how much time do we set aside
To lift a fallen brother?
Do we find the time to criticize
With no time for praise to spare?
Do we take the time to help someone,
Let them know how much we care?
Do we plan some time to worship God,
Set aside a time to pray?
Do we expend all our hours wisely
Or just squander them away?
How would we use all our time today
If tomorrow we'd not see?
Would life just go on as usual?
Would we change to some degree?
If we would just live each day for God
Thinking it may be our last,
Would our priorities be diff\'rent?
Would we notice some contrast?
We will only get to spend it once.
We must choose what we will do.
Will God be pleased? Will He say, "Well done!"
When our time on earth is through?
