Each dawning day renews our hope
And Love gives second chance
To daily face this gift from God
Without a backward glance.
Darkness of night so quickly fades
In sunshine of God's grace,
And faith shines light into our soul
As each new day we face.
Newness comes with rising sun,
Rsurrection day revealed,
Yesterday dies; its failures, too,
Entombed, forever sealed.
As in our soul a new day breaks,
Sunshine of praise gives birth,
Renewed hope will each dawning day
Shines all across the earth.

- I was born in the naval port of Norfolk, Virginia, the daughter of a US Navy Master Chief. With the exception of 1 year living in Boston, Mass.,and two years in Hanau, Germany, I have lived in the historic state of Virginia all my life. I now reside in the beautiful Roanoke Valley. Though raised in a Christian home, I was in my early 20’s before making a commitment of my life to Christ. Since then I have spent many years in full-time ministry. I am currently employed as an accountant with a Christian child care center in Roanoke and also serve as the Office Manager and Scheduling Coordinator for singer and songwriter Mary Rice Hopkins who resides in California.
